Fogarty to host Pre-Application Webinar for HIV Research Training Grants
Fogarty International Center (FIC) will hold a free pre-application interactive Q&A webinar for the FIC Planning Grant for Fogarty HIV Research Training Program for Low- and Middle-Income Country Institutions (D71) and Fogarty HIV Research Training Program for Low-and Middle-Income Country Institutions (D43 Clinical Trial Optional). The next submission deadline is August 22, 2024. The FIC Program Officer will discuss the D71 and D43 funding opportunities at the webinar and will provide a broad overview of the program goals and details pertaining to the application requirements.
NINDS Extends RFI on Global Research in Neurological Diseases
The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is seeking input on priorities for global health research in neurological disorders and stroke. This effort will culminate in a public workshop and published report of the process, findings, and results. It is our goal that this priority setting process be data-driven, standardized, and transparent, and will assemble a wide range of perspectives and stakeholders interested in helping to address research gaps and forge new partnerships with LMICs to advance our global research activities in neurological health.
NIH Releases Draft Public Access Policy for Comments
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is soliciting comments from the public on the NIH Draft Public Access Policy and two supplemental draft guidance documents regarding government use license and rights and costs for publications. The NIH Draft Public Access Policy builds upon NIH’s long history of providing public access to scholarly publications resulting from the research it supports and proposes additional steps to accelerate access.
