Project Description

This project will focus on increasing capacity in the Middle East and North Africa in environmental health research and especially with regards to climate change. There is a major gap in research capacity in this field despite the region already suffering the health consequences of climate change in terms of increased frequency of heatwaves, desert dust storms, drought, and low frequency of precipitation. The hub will create the platform to expand and sustain this focus as the state-of-art go-to entity in the region to help the populations and decision-makers address the health impacts of climate change.
