GFH2R 2025 Webinar Series: Health Research at the Nexus of Humanitarian Crises and Climate Change

The Fogarty International Center is hosting a series of public webinars as a part of the Global Forum on Humanitarian Health Research (GFH2R) 2025. These webinars are free and open to the public and will take place between August 2024 and March 2025, leading up to an in-person meeting of GFH2R 2025 for accepted applicants in May 2025.

This webinar will include a presentation on the research landscape at the intersection of humanitarian crises and climate change, as well as flash talks, panel discussions and the chance for attendees to bring their own knowledge and opinions to the conversation via interactive breakout spaces.

Description

This webinar will introduce GFH2R 2025 and provide information for individuals interested in applying to attend the in-person meeting of GFH2R in Nairobi, Kenya. During this webinar, Fogarty staff will outline the goals of GFH2R 2025 and share details on how to apply as a general participate or case study presenter. The webinar will also include a panel of past GFH2R participants and mentors, and an opportunity to ask questions.

Description: This webinar will feature a presentation on the research landscape at the intersection of humanitarian crises and climate change. It will also include ‘flash talk’ presentations, a panel discussion with experts around the globe, and an opportunity to ask questions, including small, interactive breakout discussions. We aim to engage a broad audience, including academic institutions, research funders, and humanitarian organizations, to enhance understanding of key issues and perspectives in this field.
