Project Description

This program will train health professionals at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) and the Kenya Ministry of Health (MOH) to conduct implementation science and epidemiology research that will improve non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention, diagnosis and treatment for people living with HIV (PLWH). This program strives to build sustainable research capacity through advanced research training at University of Nairobi (UoN) and University of Washington (UW), as well as support career development of junior researchers at KNH. In this way, the program will contribute solutions to the pressing need to provide comprehensive HIV and NCD care, and achieve higher quality of life and sustainable reductions in preventable deaths among PLWH.
