Project Description
Siyakhula will conduct training in HIV/AIDS research methods with a focus on pediatrics (infants, children, adolescents) and tuberculosis co-morbidity. Leveraging dual Eswatini-U.S. mentor teams, we will conduct long-term U.S. based and in-country research training in four essential programmatic areas including epidemiology, biostatistics and bioinformatics, behavioral science and health promotion, and health systems management and policy. Our goal is to strengthen clinical and translational research capacity in Eswatini while simultaneously producing high-quality researchers who will successfully transition to independent funding and lead national efforts to end the HIV/TB co-pandemics.
