Project Description

Innovative and socially scalable approaches are urgently needed to prevent early childhood Ccaries (ECC). This program seeks to develop a first-of-its-kind interactive mobile dental app that will provide age appropriate oral health-related anticipatory guidance to parents/caregivers by sending out motivational alerts tailored to infant's age and stage of development addressing specific changes in oral health. The proposed approach is prevention-focused and thereby highly rewarding and cost-effective compared to the traditional invasive strategies that target the burden of ECC in low- and middle-income countries.
