This page features a screenshot of the ClinReqs website that shows how users can filter topic areas and view up to four countries in a side-by-side comparison. Courtesy of NIAID The ClinRegs online database launched in 2014. One of its newer features is a side-by-side comparison of selected topics for up to four countries.

Launched by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) in 2014, the ClinRegs website is an online database that provides up-to-date, in-depth information on clinical trial regulatory and ethics requirements for 23 countries spanning North and South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In the past year alone, nearly 68,000 users in 166 countries have visited ClinRegs.

Each country profile provides a summary of the applicable requirements and links to official regulatory and ethics guidance documents, forms, and other resources. The 36 topic areas for each profile are updated at least once a year. English translations are provided when available.

Recent updates to ClinRegs include a tabular dashboard on every country page, which provides easy access to new requirements as they are issued, quick facts, current research and websites, details on profile updates, and other helpful links. Also, users can now filter which topic areas they want to view, compare up to four countries side-by-side, and filter search results by country and topic.
