African Association for Health Professions Education and Research

Program Overview

The African Association for Health Professions Education and Research builds on the Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI) and the Nursing Education Partnership Initiative (NEPI). The Association will serve as an interprofessional leadership and convening organization to network health professional educators and researchers across Africa to jointly develop, disseminate and/or share best practices, innovations, curricula and policy, and to engage in joint activities that will increase the quantity, quality and retention of African health professionals to improve health and to address the crisis in HIV/AIDS and its comorbidities on the continent.
