Fogarty Offers Administrative Supplements for Research and Training Grants

Fogarty invites applications for administrative supplements to FIC research training and educational development grants to enhance diverse perspectives in the research workforce. Applicants should propose to provide a foundation in research design, methods, and analytic techniques appropriate for the proposed research area in an inclusive research environment that welcomes contributions from trainees of all backgrounds.

The NIH Climate and Health Scholars Program seeks to bring climate and health scientists from outside the U.S. federal government to NIH to share their knowledge and expertise.

2024 SGM Research Investigator Awards Program - Call for Nominations!

The NIH Sexual and Gender Minority (SGM) Research Investigator Awards Program was developed to recognize promising and established investigators who are poised to or have made substantial, outstanding research contributions to the field of SGM health research. Awards are given to two early-stage investigators (ESI), and one mid-career investigator who are poised to become future leaders in the field.

NINDS Requests Information on Global Research in Neurological Diseases

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), is seeking input on priorities for global health research in neurological disorders and stroke. This effort will culminate in a public workshop and published report of the process, findings, and results. It is our goal that this priority setting process be data-driven, standardized, and transparent, and will assemble a wide range of perspectives and stakeholders interested in helping to address research gaps and forge new partnerships with LMICs to advance our global research activities in neurological health.

Manuscript, Abstract & Poster Submission Opportunities

  • The Journal of the International AIDS Society (JIAS) is now accepting abstracts for an upcoming supplement to the journal titled “Differentiated service delivery – beyond HIV treatment for integration and other health needs”.
    • Submissions due: June 28, 2024
  • Beyond Global Health has announced a call for submissions for art, poetry, prose, and photography to explore global health research, highlighting the human stories behind the data. Open to researchers, health professionals, artists, and anyone passionate about global health. Limit 1 submission per entry, maximum of 3 entries. Submissions should be original and previously unpublished and include a brief description of the submission with ethical considerations.

  • AcademyHealth and the National Institutes of Health are accepting abstract submissions for the 17th Annual Conference on the Science of Dissemination and Implementation in Health. The 17th Annual Conference theme is “Moving Fast and Slow: Optimizing the Pace of Implementation”.

  • The International Journal for Equity in Health is seeking contributions for a collection of scientific articles showcasing research on progress in reducing inequalities in health-related Sustainable Development Goals at the global, regional, and national levels.

  • The Climate Health Africa Conference 2024 is accepting abstract submissions  on a diverse range of topics related to climate change and related environmental factors on human health.
