Just Announced Fogarty Funding Opportunities

mHealth Opportunity from Fogarty

The overall goal of the program is to develop an evidence base for the use of mHealth technology to improve clinical and public health outcomes, and also to strengthen mHealth research capacity in LMICs. This NOFO provides support for up to two years for technology development and feasibility studies, followed by a possible transition to expanded research support for validation, larger-scale feasibility, and effectiveness studies.

  • HealthTech Hub Africa is seeking ventures from across Africa with innovative solutions and business models allowing for collaboration with local and national governments and aiming to solve health challenges and/or support public health systems in their digital transformation.
    Application deadline: January 17, 2024
  • The American Heart Association is piloting the 2025 International Visiting Professorship Award to bring internationally based scientists to the U.S. for one week to foster scientific exchange. The goal of the program is to expand research experiences and collaborative opportunities for both the awarded Visiting Professor and his/her U.S.-based host in areas of research that align with the mission of the AHA.

Manuscript, Abstract & Poster Submission Opportunities

  • The National Cancer Institute is now accepting proposals for the annual ASGCR Symposium on Global Cancer Research. The theme of this year’s symposium is New Models for Participatory Research in Global Oncology: Elevating the Voices of Patients and Providers.

  • The Abstract Submission portal for INTEREST 2025, being held May 13-16, 2025, in Windhoek, Namibia, is now open. Successful candidates will be invited for an oral, mini-oral, or poster presentation.

  • Beyond Global Health (BGH) is interested in how people from the Global North and Global South share their understanding of the concept of “Global Health.” Rather than exploring this through scientific journals and manuscripts, BGH is looking to expand on this idea through poetry, art, prose, and photography. Submissions are currently being accepted through the BGH website from researchers, participants, global health professionals, recipients of global health interventions, and anyone passionate about global health.
