PAHO seeks input on NCD best practices
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), through the Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health Department, invites national government authorities and intergovernmental organizations to participate in the Call for Good Practices in the Prevention, Control, and Surveillance of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs).The objective is to recognize, document, and disseminate good practices in the prevention, control, and surveillance of NCDs in the Americas.

Duke University's Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health is offering $3,700 scholarships for graduate students from underdeveloped countries to attend a 5-day workshop on conducting research in religion, spirituality, and health. The workshop will be held August 11–15, 2025, and scholarships will cover tuition, airfare, hotel accommodations, and meals. Apply as soon as possible to allow time for visa processing.

The Pan American Health Organization is offering a free course on Regulatory Policies to Prevent Obesity and Diet-related Noncommunicable Diseases. The course purpose is to strengthen the learner’s capacity to design and advance effective regulatory policies that reduce the demand for and offer of ultra-processed and processed products to prevent obesity and diet-related NCDs in the Region of the Americas.
