Project Description
The ultimate goal of this research is to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability and preliminary impact of incorporating choice in the delivery of ART support to patients who return to HIV care after an interruption, a growing population who are vulnerable to future interruptions. The development of patient-centered interventions is a key priority area to bridge remaining HIV treatment gaps in high-burden settings like South Africa. If proven to be acceptable, feasible and effective, incorporating choice in the delivery of ART support in routine, high-burden HIV care settings may be an important tool to promote patient empowerment and improve ART adherence and retention.
