Project Description
This is the first study to comparatively investigate cellular immune responses and transcriptomes profiles, and associated plasma, and urine metabolomes/proteomes between Tanzanian HIV-1 suppressed patients with incident Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS) and age and sex-matched co-infected but asymptomatic controls to identify biomarkers of KS. This study aims to identify biomarkers for KS diagnostics, treatment management, or to identify potential immunotherapeutic or vaccine development strategies.
