Project Description

West Africa is highly burdened with several vector-borne diseases, especially malaria, yet have very little research capacity, therefore, this training program offers the chance for a multi-site training of Ph.D. students and junior scientists/faculty who will become future research leaders. This program will lead to the building and strengthening of local investigator capacity. Successful malaria and other vector-borne diseases control needs capacity building in disease endemic countries to establish a cadre of local scientists who can address the ongoing and evolving challenges in vector-borne diseases and control.
