Project Description
There is an urgent need to build a critical mass of well-trained research scientists, technicians, and logistics personnel who are prepared to confront endemic, emerging, and re-emerging infections in countries most affected by them, such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Given the EREP-RTP-DRC team’s scientific pedigree and extensive past and present experience in pandemic response, trainees will have unique opportunities to conduct mentored-research projects of local and global significance and high clinical and/or public health impacts while advancing their career paths.
