Project Description
Research Misconduct, defined as deliberate fabrication, falsification and plagiarism in proposing, performing, reporting and or reviewing research, is a significant threat to the research enterprise globally. In Kenya, there are 22 research ethics committees in various phases of development but with no capacity to prevent, detect or manage research misconduct. Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital / Moi University Institutional Research and Ethics Committee proposes to collaborate with Kenyan stakeholders and international experts to develop and pilot implement a scalable model modular institutional framework to address research misconduct focusing on HIV research.
