Project Description

The focus of this training program is to improve HIV-related outcomes of adolescents (10 to 19 years) and youth (20 to 24 years) in Haiti by providing research training to extend adolescent HIV service from the clinic to the community. A multidisciplinary group of investigators, including four PhDs, will be trained in four priority adolescent health research areas including HIV prevention, HIV treatment, HIV/TB co-infection, and HIV and non-communicable diseases. The goal is to train the next generation of Haitian leaders at GHESKIO and the Haitian Ministry of Health who will conduct community-based research with the ultimate goal of improving health outcomes among adolescents and youth in Haiti.
