Project Description
This project aims to establish the University of Pittsburg-Mozambique HIV Research Training Program (Pitt-MozHRTP), which has as its primary goal the enhancement of research capacity in the areas of COVID-19, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes in people with HIV. This will be accomplished by an expert, multidisciplinary team of research mentors and excellent training opportunities at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, USA and the University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town, South Africa. By the end of the five-year funding period, we anticipate that we will have made a huge impact on HIV research capacity in Mozambique.
