Project Description
This training program will leverage the existing HIV research and teaching platforms at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to support HIV capacity building at Hanoi Medical University (HMU) and Chiang Mai University (CMU). Aligning with NIH HIV research priorities, the scientific areas of HIV training will include co-occurring conditions of HIV, HIV service disparities, advanced biomedical strategies for HIV and comorbidity prevention, implementation science and digital health.
With highly individualized and targeted training and support, junior to mid-career faculties and researchers at HMU and CMU will establish and assume leadership roles in a multidisciplinary HIV research and training vanguard hub to provide consultation, training, and leadership in state-of-the-art HIV prevention and treatment research throughout Southeast Asia.
