Project Description
This project will seek to identify risk factors for sub-optimal breastfeeding among mothers in Naivasha Kenya, particularly among a population of women involved in unskilled manual labor. This group has the lowest rates of exclusive breastfeeding of any group. The information learned from this study will be used to develop interventions to improve breastfeeding and child health for this population, and the results will be generalizable to other low-income countries.
