Project Description
In this application there are plans to build on the progress of the Universidade Eduardo Mondlane-UCSD Medical Education Partnership to continue to enhance research and training capacity at UEM and to train Mozambique's next generation of research scientists in the areas of HIV and its complications, neurosciences and child and family health. Training in these areas address three of the most pressing national priorities of Mozambique: reducing morbidity and mortality from HIV, improving the lives and health of Mozambique's children and developing a critical mass of researchers within Mozambique who can address the considerable toll taken by infectious and non-infectious neurological disorders.
