Project Description
The research project aims to improve our understanding of social contexts, chronic stress and non- communicable disease (NCD) risk factors across the life course, with a particular focus on adolescents and their caregivers in Nicaragua. This addresses a critical research gap in low- and middle-income countries, where an increased understanding of the social determinants of NCD risk factors is necessary for developing evidence-based policies to halt the rapid growth of NCDs in these settings.
